So! Lots and Lots of changes ! We have moved over the border from NH to ME! BAck literally in my hometown! Three house from where I grew up! Three houses from my brother and his family! Life is good!

Snow finally fell last night! Probably 4-5 inches here other parts got a lot more…. Pictures to follow! Em had a blast making a giant snowball and snow angels. But it should melt by mid week then I hear there may be more on the way Wed. night!

So, possibly less stress from work. Things had gotten off to a rocky start but are now slowly coming together! Thankfully my boss came out today and I did not feel stranded on my own deserted island!

On some crafty notes trying to make Petal dresses for my nieces. But unsure on a gathering stitch? Still plugging away on the Deb Bliss shawl/blanket for my nephew!!

Been struggling

I have been struggling with the death of my first daughter, Nov. 1999 then the death of my mother 10 months later in Sept. 2000. I blamed everyone I could and got angry at both of them for it. But I read some words from a person who lost his mom too…. I still like and follow NKOTB. It has been a long time…. I am a 34 year old mom who loves NKOTB! I admit it and am proud! Reading over the struggles that Danny Wood has gone through and the fight he has waged against cancer it is just awesome! his words were : Death ends a life, not a relationship. It struck me… in a good way.

Need progress!

So starting a new school year next week!! I feel like I have a million ideas and plans but nothing is done! Since I get paid only by the hour and only contracted from the start of school and 7 hours a day…. I am limiting myself to setting up my computer lab and getting things done!

What i should be doing is knitting my nephews blanket for his birthday!! It was started before he was born and he will be one on Sept. 13th!! I am about halfway done!! Tomorrow is going to be rain so I think I will just sit inside and knit away all day!

1/2 way there!! I hope!!

A day of meetings…

It started with an 8 am meeting at DD’s school. There have been issues of attention problems and reading frustration throughout the year! FINALLY!! The teacher was able to secure a batch of observations and paperwork to be filled out! Yeah!! It felt like it took an act of Congress to get it done! But because it was soooo late in the school year!! Nothing else can be done until next school year in October! So I am armed with the school report to bring in to talk to Em’s Dr. about it. Part of me wonders if we just are expecting to much from the kids or if it is just how it all is now…

After that meeting I rushed to another for my job and got my yearly review! All is good! Then RUSHED to work to teach a day of classes. In my building I work right up until the end… WHY? When all my counterparts in the other schools do not… It is just how it is and how unequal it all is! Nothing will change so I suck it up and have classes so the teachers can get their breaks… do not get me wrong they totally deserve them but when I am only getting paid by the hour and only allowed 7 hours a day in my contract and am suppose to do a WHOLE lot more before Monday and no time to do it.. a little bit frustrating!!

On a knitting note… I am about to start the beaded yarn overs on the shawl AGAIN!! Messed up about 3 times already AND realized I was reading the chart wrong! DUH! got to read it right to left then left to right!! :0)
